In order to implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on the employment of college graduates, to explore more employment and entrepreneurship opportunities by all means, to realize early planning, deployment and action in student employment, and to win the initiative and the first opportunity, teachers and students of the Institute of Medical Technology went to Beijing Union Image Intelligent Imaging Research Institute (UIIRI) for a visit on April 7, which was a good opportunity to promote the employment of college graduates. At the beginning of the activity, Wang Pan led the students and teachers to visit the showroom of BJU and watched the promotional video of UnionPhoto Group, introducing the company's series of technological breakthroughs in imaging equipment, such as the world's first whole-body PET-CT, the first ultra-large-aperture 3.0T magnetic resonance, and the industry's first spatial and temporal PET/MR, etc., and demonstrating some key parts of the independently-developed PET detector chip, MR superconducting magnet, spectrometer, and so on. spectrometer and some other key components. Students were deeply shocked by the high level of scientific and technological products with independent intellectual property rights, and also more deeply understood the connotation of high level of scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement, as well as the importance of effectively strengthening basic research to consolidate the foundation of scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement.

During the seminar, Mr. Ziyao Gao gave a special report on “Implementing the Strategy of Developing the Country through Science and Education and Strengthening the Support of Talents for Modernization,” reviewing the major breakthroughs made by China in the past five years in key technologies and cutting-edge fields, and expressing the determination of BJU to accelerate the localization of medical devices. Mr. Dong shared the business situation of UnionMag Group and its major research projects in Beijing, covering medical imaging and radiotherapy device research and development, medical AI solutions, internet hospitals, and medical chip design. Chen Shuo outlined the resonance business of UnionPhoto, demonstrating the application of AI brain-like platform for MRI from four perspectives: patient preparation, scanning process, image processing, and data quality control. Zhou Zhuo introduced the talent recruitment program of UNIMAG, including corporate internships, the number of recruitment positions and target groups.

Beijing Union Image Research Institute (UIRI) is a leader in the medical imaging technology industry, and students from UIRI seized the opportunity to talk with guests from UIRI about employee training mechanisms, knowledge and skill requirements, cutting-edge technologies, and recruitment. BJUMTI also threw an olive branch to the young students of Peking University, inviting them to intern and work in BJUMTI in the future.

During the exchange session, Liu Yinghui introduced the overall situation and future plan of the students of MTC, pointed out that the discipline of medical technology has been ranked top in the fifth round of academic assessment, won A+ in Times Higher Education China Academic Ranking, and 4 A+ in Softech China University Ranking, and on behalf of the Institute of Medical Technology, he also presented souvenirs of Peking University Medical Sciences to BUFJI.

The visit not only deeply studied and understood the spirit of the 20th National Congress, but also deeply felt the significance of strengthening basic research and realizing high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement through the field research of scientific research products of high-tech enterprises; it also practically strengthened the university-enterprises cooperation between the Institute of Medical Technology and the industry's leading enterprises and broadened the students' horizons, so that the students could feel the rapid development of the autonomy of our country's cutting-edge medical devices in practice, and come into contact with more cutting-edge science and technology; at the same time, it also made use of the information provided by the Institute of Medical Technology and the industry's leading companies to broaden students' horizon. At the same time, it also implements the requirements of the Ministry of Education on carrying out the action of “visiting enterprises and promoting employment” with practical actions, proactively explores employment channels and jobs, and plans, deploys and acts early in the employment work of the students, so as to win the initiative and the first opportunity.
