On December 7, 2023, the Peking University Institute of Medical Technology organized a seminar on the guidelines and recommendations for key projects of ministries and commissions in 2024. The meeting invited many well-known professors from the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Equipment and Technology Professional Committee of the China Medical Equipment Association to provide on-site guidance. Li Chunlin, Dean of Capital Medical University, reported on the guidelines for key project recommendations to be submitted in 2024. Professor Han Hongbin, Dean of the Institute of Medical Technology and Chairman of the Magnetic Resonance Special Committee, Secretary-General Zhao Shihua, and Vice Chairmen Peng Yun, Li Youwei, Li Hongjun, Yang Qi, Tang Xiaoying, and Shen Yanguang attended the meeting for guidance. After the meeting, the 2023 work summary meeting of the special committee was held in Liaoning Building. Vice Chairmen Xu Haibo, Geng Daoying, Liu Ailian, Gong Lianggeng, Zhang Jiayin, and more than 50 committee representatives Xu Lei, Wang Yining, Liu Zilong, Li Chunlin, Zhang Yicong, Fang Yuan, Shi Jiancheng, etc. attended the meeting online and offline. The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Secretary-General He Qingyuan, Wang Wei, Yu Guanghui, and Office Director Liu Yinghui.

In his speech, Chairman Han Hongbin thanked the members of the special committee for their wisdom in contributing to the construction of national and provincial key projects, congratulated all members on their achievements in 2023, and welcomed the members who came from Chongqing and Shandong to attend the meeting. He said that 2023 is not only a key year for the adjustment of professional degrees in medical technology disciplines in my country, but also a key year for the magnetic resonance special committee to carry forward the past and usher in the future. The special committee has joined hands with Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Sichuan University and many other universities to promote the construction of doctoral programs in medical technology professional degrees in my country, and has completed the construction tasks set by the special committee at the establishment of the committee in stages, achieving a historic breakthrough. Many members have made significant gains in provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards and achieved a series of breakthroughs in major and key national scientific and technological research projects. He encouraged all members to keep their original aspirations in mind, remember their mission, and stick to the construction goals and development concepts of the special committee. In the closing year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, on the basis of doing a good review and summary, we will do a good job in the 15th Five-Year Development Plan and strive to achieve better results in 2024.

On behalf of the Chairman, Liu Yinghui reported on the key work arrangements for 2024, emphasizing the task arrangements for the annual meeting of the General Association to be held in Chongqing from March 28 to April 1, 2024; Director Wang Wei reported on the overall work summary of the special committee and each academic group in 2023 on behalf of the Secretariat. Professor Li Chunlin gave a report on the recommendations for the National Natural Science Foundation key project application guidelines. The report takes the project guidelines as the goal, summarizes cutting-edge hot scientific issues and solutions, and intends to use magnetic resonance neural excitation information acquisition methods and key technologies as breakthrough points to carry out key scientific research. Subsequently, Member Fang Yuan, Deputy Secretary-General Yu Guanghui and others respectively put forward suggestions on the preparation of the Chongqing Conference, the publication of professional textbooks and monographs of the special committee. Deputy Chairmen Shen Yanguang and other vice chairmen put forward suggestions and opinions on the themes of several forums to be held during the 2024 Chongqing Conference.

The meeting ended successfully with a united and harmonious academic dinner.
