Dr. Fusong Yuan is an Associate Professor, Deputy Chief Physician, and Master’s Supervisor at Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. He concurrently serves as a member of the Specialty Committee of Oral Laser of the Chinese Stomatological Association, a member of the Specialty Committee of Stomatology of the Chinese Society for Health Information and Health Medical Big Data, a director of the Dental, Maxillofacial and Facial Aesthetics Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics, and a member of the Specialty Committee of Oral Equipment and Technology of the Chinese Association of Medical Equipment. He is also a young member of the Specialty Committee of Computer in Stomatology of the Chinese Stomatological Association, a science communication expert for the “Science and Technology Innovation for China” program under the China Association for Science and Technology, and a Science Editor of the journal  Military Medical Research .

Dr. Yuan has long been dedicated to basic and applied research on robotics, artificial intelligence, femtosecond lasers, and digital technologies in stomatology. His work on an oral medical robot system based on femtosecond lasers, and the study of interactions between femtosecond lasers and biological tissues, is at the international forefront. He has led more than 10 research projects at the national, provincial, ministerial, and university levels, including the National Key R&D Program, General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing, the First Interdisciplinary Special Project for New Engineering at Peking University, and the “Clinical Medicine + X” Young Scientists Program of Peking University.

As first author or corresponding author, Dr. Yuan has published over 30 papers in leading academic journals and holds more than 40 invention patents granted in the United States, Europe, and China. He has frequently delivered academic presentations at prestigious international conferences such as IADR, CAFD, and ACT4D.

He has been selected for the inaugural Cultivation Program for Clinical Scientists at Peking University and has received numerous awards, including the Catalytic Award of the Global Health and Longevity Competition, the Gold Award at the Middle East International Invention Exhibition, the China Invention Patent Award, the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, the First Prize for Technological Invention in Beijing, the First Prize of the China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Gold Award of the Beijing Invention and Innovation Competition, the Excellent Paper Award from the  Chinese Journal of Stomatology , and the Advanced Individual Award for Industry-University-Research Cooperation of Peking University.
