Dr. Xianshu Gao is the Administrative Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Peking University First Hospital, a Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor. He also serves as Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Peking University and Deputy Director of the Brachytherapy Center at Peking University Health Science Center.

Dr. Gao concurrently holds positions such as Standing Committee Member of the Radiation Oncology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association (CSTRO), Chairman of the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology (FARO), Chairman of the Specialty Committee of Radiation Oncology of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, Vice President of the China-Japan Medical Science and Technology Exchange Association, and a member of the Expert Committee on Tumor Radiotherapy of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO). He was awarded the "Outstanding Achievements Award" at the Fifth People's Renowned Doctors Awards.

Dr. Gao has long been engaged in radiotherapy, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, scientific research, and teaching related to malignant tumors, and has extensive clinical experience and strong foundational research expertise. A total of five original research findings have been cited in international clinical guidelines, including the NCCN Guidelines (United States), the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), and the European Association of Urology (EAU), and have influenced current clinical practice.

He has been approved for dozens of national-level projects, key projects supported by the Counsellors' Office of the State Council, and provincial and ministerial-level research grants. Many of the students trained under Dr. Gao have gone on to pursue further study at world-renowned institutions such as Beaumont Health (USA), the Mayo Clinic, and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
