Dr. Yibao Zhang is the Deputy Director of the Teaching and Research Section of Radiation Oncology at Peking University Institute of Medical Technology / Peking University Cancer Hospital, a Senior Engineer (at the highest grade), and a Doctoral Supervisor.

In 2008, Dr. Zhang obtained dual bachelor's degrees from Peking University Health Science Center and the School of Information Science and Technology. In 2013, he received a Doctor of Engineering degree from the School of Physics at Peking University and was sponsored by the state to conduct joint studies at the Yale School of Medicine. In 2016, he was selected for the "Young Talent" Program of the Beijing Municipal Hospital Authority.

Dr. Zhang has presided over 19 research projects, including General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key Research Special Topic Projects of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and Special Research Funds for the Development of Capital Health. He has published 23 SCI-indexed papers as first author or corresponding author. As the first inventor, he has applied for eight PCT invention patents (including three authorized Chinese invention patents and one authorized U.S. invention patent). As the first contributor, he has received 20 teaching and research awards, including the Third Prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize for Teaching Achievements of Peking University, the New Teaching Talent Award of Peking University Health Science Center, and the Excellent Teaching Award of Peking University Health Science Center. His main research direction is artificial intelligence and medical physics in image-guided adaptive radiotherapy.
