Dr. Yueguo Chen is a Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Peking University Third Hospital. He also serves as Deputy Administrative Director of the Department of Ophthalmology (in charge of teaching), Director of the Refractive Surgery and Optometry Specialty, and concurrently as Director of the Peking University Institute of Laser Medicine.

Dr. Chen has long been engaged in clinical and experimental research on the treatment of refractive errors and visual quality using excimer lasers and femtosecond lasers, as well as in clinical research on the prevention and control of myopia in children and the early diagnosis of keratoconus.

He serves as Deputy Leader of the Refractive Surgery Group of the Ophthalmologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and a member of its Optometry Group; Executive Committee Member of the Visual Health Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Healthcare; and an editorial board member of journals including the Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology, Chinese Journal of Optometry and Ophthalmology and Visual Science, Ophthalmology, and Recent Advances in Ophthalmology.

As first author or corresponding author, Dr. Chen has published nearly 100 papers in domestic and international core journals. He has served as chief editor of five monographs, and contributed to the editing of more than ten others as deputy editor or chapter contributor.
