Rui Qiao, MD, is an Associate Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, and the Deputy Director of Clinical Laboratory Quality Control Center at Peking University Third Hospital. She was a Visiting Scholar at Cleveland Clinic (USA, 2011.11-2012.12).

Clinical Work: laboratory quality control, clinical consultation, and multidisciplinary diagnosis.

Teaching: lectures/clinical training in laboratory diagnostics, currently supervising 2 master's students. She has co-authored 3 textbooks and 2 pedagogical papers in the past 5 years.

Research directions: platelet activation mechanisms, antithrombotic therapy monitoring, mechanisms and interventions for pregnancy-related hypercoagulability.

As Principal Investigator, she has secured 6 consecutive grants over the past 5 years, including 3 NSFC projects and one Beijing Natural Science Foundation project. She has published 26 papers (16 SCI papers, 8 as corresponding author) since 2015.
