Fangxiao Cheng is an Associate Researcher/Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Medical Technology, Peking University Health Science Center. He serves as the Director of Student Affairs Office and Personnel Management Officer. He was the secretary of Life and Medical Sciences Division, 8th Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Education. He is the PI of one NSFC Young Scientists Fund and one Intelligent Basic Theory Innovation Research Fund, CMC Science and Technology Commission, and participates in one National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Special Project, one NSFC Mathematical Tianyuan Fund, one NSFC General Program, one Beijing Natural Science Foundation Key Research Topic, and one Major Consulting Project of CAE Medical and Health Division. He has published 10+ SCI/core journal papers. Dr. Cheng was selected for 2020 CAST Outstanding Young Scholars Exchange Program and the 10 th Global Young Scientists Summit in 2022, emerging as an interdisciplinary researcher in medical-engineering integration at Peking University Health Science Center. His current researches include the medical imaging technology and neuroinformatics acquisition/processing, specifically focusing on brain ultrastructure (brain extracellular space) measurement, brain microenvironment regulation, and novel theories/technologies for encephalopathy treatment.
