Hongbin Han is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Dean at the Institute of Medical Technology, Peking University Health Science Center. He is the Member of the National Expert Committee on Industrial Foundations, Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Astronautics, Honorary President of the Sino-German Translational Medicine Association, Director of the NMPA Key Laboratory for Quality Evaluation of Medical Imaging Equipment, and the Chair Member of the MRI Equipment and Technology Committee, China Association of Medical Equipment. His major research directions include novel medical imaging technologies and diagnosis/treatment for brain disorders. He has undertaken over 30 research projects including the NSFC Major Program, the NSFC Major Research Instrumentation Program and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has published more than 200 academic papers in core domestic and international journals, authored/translated 5 monographs, and obtained 17 authorized patents. Prof. Han has been selected for the MOE's New Century Excellent Talents Program and the Beijing Top 100 Scientific Leadership Project. He won the China Youth Science & Technology Award and the First Prize of Huaxia Medical Science & Technology Award. His research achievements were listed in the Top 10 Medical Scientific Breakthroughs in 2020.
