Xianshu Gao is a Professor, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, the Director of Radiotherapy Department at Peking University First Hospital, the Director of Department of Radiation Oncology at Peking University, and the Deputy Director of Brachytherapy Center at Peking University Health Science Center. He is the Standing Committee Member of Chinese Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (CSTRO), Chairman of Federation of Asian Radiation Oncology (FARO), Chairman of Radiation Oncology Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, Vice President of China-Japan Medical Science and Technology Exchange Association, Committee Member of Radiotherapy Expert Committee of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO). He is the recipient of 5th People's Outstanding Physician Award - Distinguished Achievement. His research specializes in radiotherapy and comprehensive treatment of malignant tumors with extensive clinical and research experience. His five original studies referenced by international guidelines including NCCN Guidelines (US), ESTRO Guidelines (Europe), and EAU Guidelines (Europe) for clinical practice. He has led dozens of national-level projects including State Council Counsellors' Office Key Programs. His mentored students pursued advanced studies at world-leading institutions, such as Beaumont Health (US), Mayo Clinic (US), Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), etc.
