Yibao Zhang is a Senior Engineer (Professor-level), Doctoral Supervisor, and the Deputy Director of Radiotherapy Teaching & Research Division, Peking University Institute of Medical Technology/Peking University Cancer Hospital. He obtained dual Bachelor's degrees at Peking University Health Science Center and School of Electronics Engineering & Computer Science in 2008, and received Ph.D. in Engineering from Peking University School of Physics in 2013 with state-sponsored joint Ph.D. program at Yale School of Medicine. He has been selected for Beijing Hospital Administration "Seed" Talent Program in 2016. He is the Principal Investigator of 19 projects including NSFC General Program, Beijing Natural Science Foundation Key Research Topics, and Capital Health Development Research Fund. He has published 23 SCI papers as first/corresponding author and applied for 8 PCT patents (3 Chinese patents and 1 US patent granted as first inventor). He has received 20 academic/teaching awards including the Third Prize of Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, Second Prize of Peking University Teaching Achievement Award, Peking University Health Science Center Teaching Rising Star Award, and Peking University Health Science Center Teaching Excellence Award. His main research direction is artificial intelligence and medical physics in image-guided adaptive radiotherapy.
