Dr. Xiaolong Liang is a Principal Investigator and Doctoral Supervisor at Peking University Third Hospital, the Recipient of National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, Beijing Outstanding Young Scientist Program, and Beijing Top Young Talents Program. He currently chairs the Biomedical Imaging Technology Branch of the China Medicinal Biotechnology Association and serves as Deputy Director of the Ultrasound Molecular Imaging Committee at the Chinese Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering. His multidisciplinary leadership extends through executive roles in the Youth Council of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Youth Committee Member of Nano-Oncology Committee of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Youth Committee Member of Experimental Medicine Committee of the National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association, Youth Committee Member of Biomedical Photonics Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, and Committee Member of Ultrasound Medicine Innovation and Development Management Branch of Guangdong Medical Industry Association. He is the Editorial Board Member of  Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology  and  Chinese Medicinal Biotechnology , Youth Editorial Board Member of  Advanced Ultrasound in Diagnosis and Therapy . He obtained Ph.D. from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2012 and conducted postdoctoral research at Peking University School of Engineering and Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As founding director of the Ultrasound Medicine and Molecular Imaging Laboratory at Peking University Third Hospital in 2015, Dr. Liang spearheads translational research in medical ultrasound, molecular imaging, and minimally invasive therapy technologies. He has published 50+ SCI papers as first/corresponding author in  Nature Communications ,  Advanced Materials ,  ACS Nano ,  Advanced Functional Materials , and  Biomaterials . He has also authorized 20+ invention patents.

Research Directions:

1. Ultrasound Medicine: Integrating ultrasound with medical applications to develop ultrasound contrast agents for precision diagnosis and targeted therapy.

2. Molecular Imaging: Designing molecular imaging probes for rapid, stable, high-sensitivity, and high-specificity  in vivo  imaging.

3. Minimally Invasive Therapy: Developing therapeutic materials and drug delivery systems based on light, sound, magnetic, electric, and thermal technologies.
