Dr. Peng Liu is a renowned clinical nutrition expert in China. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and is a Chief Dietitian, Master's Supervisor, leader in the field of clinical nutrition in medical technology, national health science popularization expert, and a recognized health educator in Beijing.

Dr. Liu currently serves as the Secretary of the Party Branch and Director of the Department of Clinical Nutrition at Peking University People's Hospital, as well as the Deputy Director of the Medical Affairs Office. He plays a leading role in promoting the development of clinical nutrition support and therapeutic technologies in China and is a key figure in advancing the national framework for the clinical nutrition discipline.

He has presided over and participated in numerous research projects, including those funded by the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. As first author or corresponding author, Dr. Liu has published over 30 papers in SCI-indexed and core academic journals, and has been granted three patents.

In the past three years, Dr. Liu has participated in formulating several nutrition-related guidelines and industry standards, such as the  Chinese Guidelines for Medical Nutrition Therapy for Overweight/Obese Individuals (2021) ,  Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Childhood Obesity (2021) ,  Expert Consensus on the Application of the Ketogenic Diet Intervention in Malignant Gliomas ,   Chinese Expert Consensus on the Management of Body Weight for Women with Stress Urinary Incontinence Due to Obesity (2020 Edition) , and   Technical Guidelines for Clinical Nutrition in Medical Institutions .

He has won the title of " People's Good Doctor of the Year " for both medical ethics and skills, the Outstanding Contribution Award of the   Clinical Doctors' Science Popularization Project of the Ministry of Health , the first prize in the Beijing Health Good News Selection (Science Popularization Category), and the title of Outstanding Health Science Popularization Expert in Beijing.

He also serves concurrently as a council member of the Chinese Nutrition Society, an executive committee member of the Diabetes Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Deputy Chairman of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Beijing Medical Association, the Vice President of the Beijing Nutrition Society, and the Secretary-General of the Clinical Nutrition Branch.
