Dr. Junbo Wang is a Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Public Health, Peking University. He is also the Deputy Director of the Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene and a Visiting Professor at Tibet University. Dr. Wang is the Chairman of the Beijing Nutrition Society, an Executive Director of the Chinese Nutrition Society, an Expert Member of the Expert Committee of the Nutrition Improvement Program for Students Receiving Compulsory Education in Rural Areas, an Expert for the Administrative Licensing Review of " Three New " Foods at the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center, an Executive Director of the Industrial Branch of Children's Medical and Health Products of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, Deputy Chairman of the Maternal and Infant Nutrition Professional Committee of the China Association of Maternal and Child Health Promotion, Deputy Secretary-General of the Dietary Nutrition Guidance Committee for the Care of the Next Generation of the China Cuisine Association, an Executive Committee Member of the Nutrition Literacy Branch of the China Health Promotion and Education Association, an Executive Committee Member of the Diabetes Professional Committee of the China Medicine Education Association, a Member of the Committee on Exposomics and Exposure Science of the Chinese Society for Mutagenesis, a delegate to the 9th and 10th sessions of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, an Expert in the Expert Database of Beijing Food Safety Standards, and an Expert in the Beijing Balanced Diet Campus Health Promotion Campaign.
Dr. Wang has been engaged in research on nutrition and chronic diseases, maternal and child nutrition, peptide nutrition, functional foods, food toxicology, and dietary nutrition education and advocacy. As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 90 papers in both domestic and international core journals, with 29 papers included in SCI. He has edited or contributed to more than 10 textbooks, monographs, and popular science works.
As a major contributor, Dr. Wang has received multiple science and technology progress awards from the Ministry of Education, Beijing Municipality, the Chinese Medical Association, the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, and the Chinese Nutrition Society.
He has also been awarded many honorary titles, such as Advanced Worker in the National Nutrition Industry, Advanced Worker in the Summer Social Practice for College and Secondary School Students in the Capital for Serving the Country as a Youth, "Good Teacher and Helpful Friend" of Peking University Health Science Center, Excellent Head Teacher, Outstanding Young Post Worker, First Prize of the College Students' Innovative Experiment Project, and Excellent Teacher.
